UNIVERSITY BRUNEI DARUSSALAM, Monday, 21 August 2023 – His Royal Highness Prince (Dr) Haji Al- Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Pro-Chancellor of Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) presented certificates to graduates of Master's Degree, Bachelor Degree, Graduate Diploma and Diploma at the 35th UBD Convocation Ceremony held at the Chancellor Hall, UBD.
Amongst the graduates, officers from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Ministry of Defence, Royal Brunei Police Force and Internal Security Department who have completed the Command and Staff Course (CSC) in 2022 and were awarded Graduate Diploma in Defence and Security Studies. Five officers who pursued additional module after completing the CSC 8/2018, CSC 10/2020 and CSC 11/2021 also received Master of Defence and Security Studies during the convocation.
Officers from the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) who received their certificates were Lieutenant Commander Aliashim bin Alias, RBN, Lieutenant Commander Wan Abdul Naafi bin Metussin, RBN, Lieutenant Commander Pg Khairul Anwar bin Pg Doktor Hj Abu Bakar, RBN, Lieutenant Commander Mohd Akramin bin Alidin, RBN, Lieutenant Commander Awang Mohd Zulyamin bin Awang Mohd Noor, RBN and Lieutenant Commander Muhd Rosfadhly bin Haji Rosli, RBN.
RBAF has been collaborating with UBD since 2019 as the main academic provider for CSC which aims to expand the professional and academic knowledge in studying current strategic issues and their impact in the field of defence and security. Officers who complete this course have the opportunity to pursue their Master's degree in Defence and Security Studies at UBD.
